The school is INTENSE, and I really mean that. It’s pretty much comic book artist boot camp. There’s no real major, it’s more like a vocational school. If you can handle 10 classes a week, and not missing even one assignment, this school will definitely raise your art making ability a LOT. I definitely recommend the Joe Kubert School. I always will. If you don’t think you can handle all that, just try out one of their correspondence courses.

How is the school? What is your major?

Actually, they just released the first Life with Archie trade! I highly recommend you pick it up. Otherwise, just jump right in! Kevin Keller and the upcoming Occupy Riverdale storyline should be good places to start.

i think trying to tell a story with your art is the hardest thing for me and its a must to have because iv had ppl say stuff like “i dont get it…” and its pretty frustrating because it means im not doing a very good job on telling a story with the art
but good video grace keep them coming! =)

Thanks for the Art Update Grace, do you think you’ll ever cover webcomics and how digital is becoming the new ‘frontier’?

I have a question: Will I be able to draw comics if I can’t do any digital artwork?

I draw really well with pencils and I’m ok with ink. I’m als able to colour my own pages with coloured pencils, dry pastels or copic markers….
But will it be enough? Are artists these days still allowed to work just traditionally? I have tried working digitally… but it’s just not my thing.

I love these videos. Such a great look into things that are so rarely discussed.
